Go Safe Education
Skin care starts with sun safety!
Our mission at the Canadian Skin Cancer Foundation (CSCF) is to help kids and adults stay safe in the sun! Through our Go Safe Education Program and events in Edmonton and Calgary, we hope to bring awareness to skin cancer and how a few simple steps can keep this ugly disease away. To accomplish our goal of reducing skin cancer, we offer a program called I Go Safe Education. Our program offers in-person presentations in a classroom setting where children and young adolescents can learn about skin cancer, where it originated, and what can be done to prevent it. If in-person presentations are not feasible, we also offer e-Learning classes that can be taken independently or as a complementary resource to the Go Safe in-class presentations. In addition, our teacher resources have evolved over the years to meet the curriculum needs of grades 5 and 6 and junior and senior high schools. Whether you are a teacher looking for in-class teaching tools or sending students off to find their own learning resources, we provide a number of different ways to get the sun safety message across:
